greetings Shawn, Although I don’t always comment on your posts I do eventually read them all. As the president of a college I am called away often to speak at a variety of locations. I often include quotes in my speeches simply because quotes tend to wrap up a point so nicely and because people tend to put more weight in an idea when it is summarized by a quote. A teacher of mine once said, “If you want to look smart, quote someone.” That quote makes me laugh.
I wish I could put just a fraction of these quotes that you share with us to memory. Thank you.

Thanks for your words, David. Yes, people tend to believe instantly a comment if it is quoted. You should read my quotes on quotes! (I’ll send it out today in the thought-of-the-day) Also, a great way to memorize a bunch of great quotes is to carry around a pocket book of quotes, then pull it out whenever you have a spare moment…like MY book of quotes! I’ll send you one, if you like. I’ll send you 20 if you can link to me from your school’s website!

Sounds great, Sweety. Sometimes when we share with our friends…and try to teach them what we have learned…it ensures that we have truly internalized and learned a principle. Thanks for sharing.
