I like quote # 5. Habit is often misconstrued to mean only bad behaviour pattern whereas it could stand for something good too. I perceive that bad habit is imbibed while good habit is acquired.

I like the balance that the combination of all these quotes brings to the discussion. We can all relate to the difficulties associated with trying to break bad habits, but often forget the real values associated with establishing good ones. #8 then should be considered good advise to us all.

Good point, David. I find that sometimes…if I try to replace a bad habit just by starting my day in a good way…like with reading, meditation, prayer, exercise, etc….then the rest of the day goes MUCH better; and then those bad habits tend to not show their faces.

I especially liked this one!!! habits at first cajole and romance you but once they are sure they’ve got their claws into you your the one doing all the cajoling and romancing!!! and David is right replace that bad habit with a good one before an even worse habit takes its place!!! habits are sneaky little bastards.
