1001 Ways to Motivate Yourself And Others

by Sang H. Kim

While I read this book I realized that it would be right up you r alley if you had a "Thought of the Day" board at work on which you could write a daily motivating thought.

If you wanted to find something to lift your spirits, you might take something from the chapter, "160 Ways to Motivate Yourself." At a glance I can see several helpful ideas that would be entirely appropriate. If you wanted, you could find something useful under "111 Ways to Motivate your Employees" or in the 75 ways for motivating your team. In fact, there are sections for motivating your peers, your students, your boss and much more.

Even if you didn't have thought-of-the-day board for which your were responsible, this book does have enough helpful ideas to keep you busy reading for a while. It's not a book to read straight through...but rather something to digest slowly and act upon the ideas and saying quoted in it.

The greatest benefits will be found if you do act on what you read. I most enjoyed the chapter on motivating your clients and customers.

If you are serious about lighting fires underneath yourself and others or in other words, getting things to happen, you'll find this book to be worth your time and energy.
