The best way to get me is really:

  • I have a mental-block around email, FB, and IG messages so I don’t check any of them…but if you submit a post (not a comment) on my FB group, there’s a good chance I’ll see it – just make sure to address it to my name.
  • If you’re a journalist, blogger, or podcaster, try me at info (at> motivational {[d..o,,,t..}]] {n’.e.,.t.,;}} and make sure your subject line is clear, or else it’ll get lost in the 100 other ways people are hitting me up. 🙂

Sorry I’m not more helpful.  I’m too busy living life!

  • Hello. You have an amazing facebook page. I can't get enough of it. How long ago did you created? What's the story of the facebook page?

    Regards,

    Dragu Ionut

    • Hi Dragu,
There's nothing special about the story of my FB page. I started it years ago, back when THIS website was popular & successful. I had only about 45,000 followers for a long time. Then suddenly, I started growing by 10k to 14k new followers per day, until I reached over 2 million. Now it's only 10k per week. :(

I'm happy you like the page. Keep visiting; I'll watch for your name to show up in the comments. -Shawn

  • hi..... i wanted to ask a rather different question i am not sure if i should ask here........ but how was your experience running a motivational site? did it cover its costs through affiliate sales and advertisements or were you thrown into a financial loss trying to maintain it?

    • Hi Tooba. I imagine you're commenting here because you already tried to email me & I didn't reply? If so, sorry. I haven't checked my email in 2 months. I'm terrible.

Anyway, no, there's never a loss. Running a website is so cheap, you could never lose money. $8 for a URL, $5/month or less for hosting. It's so cheap. And if you work on promoting your site for at least an hour or 2 every day, it's also very easy to get traffic, and then make money. I really don't promote myself anymore, so I don't make as much as I used to (I used to make good $$), but my traffic still pays some bills. It's all from ads, though. I never figured out how to sell affiliate products. I just can't do it. I can't figure it out. Even when I had an email list of 35,000 subscribers, no one would buy from my recommendations. It was weird. But no I wish I had never shut down that previous email list! What was I thinking?!
