• These a good reminders Shawn but they do make one begin to wonder whatever happened to the idea that success breeds success if all of our "experience" comes from our learning from our mistakes. While learning from mistakes is the right way to benefit from them, perhaps some of our good experiences; the ones that taught us "we can do this!" deserves just a little recognition in our overall understanding of the value of experience.

• Shawn, great quotes. However, I have to agree with David on his point. A collection of mistakes is known as "experience", but a collection of successes is also known as experience.

  • Yes, it was a very good point. I didn't quite know how to say that...so I've been letting his words simmer in my mind for a day. • Most great achievers learnt through trial and error. They did not have many success story to read before plunging into the world of unknown. Moreover, they were not afraid to make mistakes hence they have more testimonials than those who achieve by following success story.

• That's indeed a good point... But when I thought over it, I found no one will write a quote on achieving Success .. as being a Winner they no more need it ...
  But the one who looses couple of times in a row does sit down and introspect himself. He needs motivation during this examination to come back in battle field ...so are all quotes show us how to take failure in positive sense ...
