  • Hi Shawn, I believe if you take an interest in the world around you you will always find something of interest that you will enjoy and be able to share with others.

    The quote I found most interesting were;
    Nobody is bored when he is trying to make something that is beautiful or to discover something that is true. -W.R. Inge

    Take care and enjoy your day.

  • When people are bored, it is primarily with their own selves that they are bored. -Eric Hoffer

    I loved this one most bcs it was true about me.Most bored people would love to blame circumstance or whatever but if we really look at it the problem is ourselves and nothing else!!!

    • Thanks Sarah. Nice to see you on here. I tried to look up what you meant, and I see on wikiquote.org that Oscar Wilde wrote somewhat on the topic of boredom? I guess I need to read more from him....

  • These days I think many people could actually do with a little boredom! We are entertaining ourselves to death! But I appreciate the sentiment.

  • I really look forward to your thoughts and quotes of the day. I have a couple posted up so i read them every day. They put a smile on my face and make me believe in so much more. And... has changed my attitude in many ways.. :) Thank you for sending these to me. Ü

  • Sorry nobody is commenting lately. It's probably because they are laughing at the reflection of themselves that they see mirrored in your quotes.

  • Shawn, I doubt I have missed a single one of your posts. They are simply far to helpful to let go. I would even go so far as to say that I have most likely shared one or two of your quotes with my colleagues from just about every one of your posts from the date I first join on. Thanks for the ride.

    • Thanks for the vote of confidence, David! I'm happy to get some positive reinforcement today. I've been really bummed out lately since my mailing list host threatened to kick me out. I thought about throwing in the towel on everything, but knowing that I have some repeat readers makes me want to carry on.

  • Very good quotes Shawn! They made me think about how not to be bored. An awful state to be in. One of my favorite quotes is:
    "The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity." I'm writing many of these down for future reference.
