Are you familiar with the writer/businessman/speaker Harvey MacKay? He’s awesome.
In his books he often uses short little quotes and calls them “MacKay’s Morals”. A lot of them are really good ones you’ve heard before.
Here’s a bunch all thrown together; I’m sure you’ll like them. And I’ve re-named them “Random Success Thoughts“:
Big shots are only little shots who just keep shooting.
You don’t quit trying when you lose; you lose because you quit trying.
One mistake will never kill you. The same mistake over and over will.
Minds are like parachutes –not much good unless they are open.
It takes a lot of spectacular preparation to produce spectacular results.
Anyone too busy to say thank you will get fewer and fewer chances to say it.
The person who wants to do something finds a way; the person who doesn’t finds an excuse.
Bad service saves money and loses customers; good service costs money and saves customers.
Good companies make good on mistakes; bad companies just make bad mistakes.
The human body is the only machine that wears out faster if it is not used.
For real winners there are no finish lines.
Make the second effort your second nature.

Unless you work in demolition, don’t burn bridges.
