The difference between rising at five and seven o’clock in the morning, for forty years, supposing a man to go to bed at the same hour at night, is nearly equivalent to the addition of ten years to a man’s life. Philip Doddridge

No man can promise himself even fifty years of life, but any man may, if he please, live in the proportion of fifty years in forty–let him rise early, that he may have the day before him, and let him make the most of the day, by determining to expend it on two sorts of acquaintance only–those by whom something may be got, and those from whom something maybe learned. -Charles Caleb Colton

Each evening sees it close;

Has earned a night’s repose.

Every morning in Africa, a Gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a Lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest Gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn’t matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle… when the sun comes up, you’d better be running. -Unknown

    Getting up early is wonderful, to see the sun rise is beautiful. I think my favorite one is:Every morning in Africa, a Gazelle wakes up. -Unknown
