At times solitude can be a blessing, still as human beings we were born to socialise. I have friends I have known for 56 years, I love spending time with them. My family has been a great joy to me solitude just does not compare.

I did find reading the quotes interesting, thank you Shawn for sharing them.

Learn to enjoy every minute of your life.
Don’t wait for for happiness to reach out and grab you,
Think how precious life really is, the time you have to spend,
to be alone with yourself, to feel one with your inner you
only you can get to know the real you, and though these times of self awakening. Every minute should be enjoyed and savoured.

One of my grandfather’s favorite sayings that he use to quote to my three brothers and I quite often was, “One man is a whole man, two men is a half man, and three men is no man at all.” When I was young the saying confused me, even upset me, but the older I get the more I have come to understand it. It took a grandfather to drive this point home.

In solitude, you have time to think as well as be creative or just contemplate life. I enjoy solitude. You are not pulled in different directions by different people who just don’t understand solitudes’ virtues. You can get so close to your soul.

Joe White: Go blow it out your nose. I can enjoy solitude if I like for its own sake, without locking myself in a cage from people too. Shut up.

Great quotes. They come at an unstable part of my life. Younger, I rejected the idea of solitude as a social child will. However, not in old age still, I seem to seek solitude yet reject it often, for its association to loneliness.
