  3. Hello Shawn,

I think we all hope and strive for simplicity but sometimes it just takes hard work to achieve the things we value in this life.

We all need to appreciate the wonderful things that nature provides for us; the beauty that exist in every living thing. Throughout our life’s journey we do encounter many things. We have the freedom of choice, so we think with our mind, let it touch our heart as it evolves deep within our soul, set our spirit free, then decide if it is a gift to behold, or set the thought and deed free. Everything in life is worthy of a thought, then it is up to us to decide what should follow.

Here are some quotes I found interesting and would like to share:

Bad things do happen; how I respond to them defines my character and the quality of my life. I can choose to sit in perpetual sadness, immobilized by the gravity of my loss, or I can choose to rise from the pain and treasure the most precious gift I have – life itself.
    Walter Anderson

“Too many people spend money they haven’t earned, to buy things they don’t want, to impress people they don’t like.”
    Will Rogers

“To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter… to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird’s nest or a wildflower in spring – these are some of the rewards of the simple life.”
    John Burroughs

    • Wow! Great words, Lee! I love those last quotes you shared. It’s Sunday evening; I think I need to go for “an evening saunter”. Thanks as always for some great thoughts.

  4. Thank you for a great post. One thought that really changed my life is this:

“Receive with simplicity everything that happens to you”
    By Rashi.

I have since then been inspired to live my life as simply as possible. Simplicity gives you true happiness as it makes your life easy.
    Thanks for sharing 🙂
