“I do not despise genius–indeed, I wish I had a basketful of it. But yet, after a great deal of experience and observation, I have become convinced that industry is a better horse to ride than genius. It may never carry any man as far as genius has carried individuals, but industry–patient, steady, intelligent industry–will carry thousands into comfort, and even celebrity; and this it does with absolute certainty.”–Walter Lippman

This site is so good that am already benefing from the thoughts of the days. I hope I will continue receiving the qoutation
Really enjoyed reading this thank you!
I have to say this is the first that I do not like. It is this kind of thinking in our world that has everyone so messed up. Humans have been taught to stop critical thinking and let others tell them what to do… Don’t be a slave, think for yourself!
“Intelligent industry,” if this is not genius in and of itself, it is right next too it. The best ideas in the world are little better than stupid if they are never put to work.
Thanks Shawn. Of all the sites that I visit, this one is one of my favorites. It brings a little sanity back into my thinking and helps me gain a bit of perspective as I plot my course for the day.
Hey Shawn, I have a suggestion. I have noticed that some sites provide a fifteen minute time delay for self editing after you hit enter. For political blogs this is especially necessary to give a person time to think over whether or not he really wants his comment out there. But for others whose fingers don’t seem to keep up with their minds, its nice to have the second chance to fix obvious typos.
I would not have a clue as to how this is done, but do appreciate it when it is offered.
Thanks for the suggestion, David. I will look for a plugin that allow this.
Thank you for your thoughts of the day. Some days they are just what I need to read.
Thanks for the quotes and your time.
