Let’s face it. In most of life we really are interdependent. We need each other. Staunch independence is an illusion, but heavy dependence isn’t healthy, either. The only position of long-term strength is interdependence: win/win. -Greg Anderson

Hmmmm…I have 2 FB pages, so I wonder which one it went to? I will check the other one tomorrow from another PC; last time I logged in to 2 accounts on the same PC, FB locked me out. Thanks for your kind words and vote of confidence, Rainelda. I love to hear from you; I hope to keep you inspired for years to come. 🙂

  1. These all really deserve to be put on posters… after all, cooperation, teamwork, are both very important to actually accomplishing things in this world. 🙂

You have discovered real treasure in these quotes Shawn. I love this one. “If you want to be incrementally better: Be competitive. If you want to be exponentially better: Be cooperative. -Unknown” I called up Alice to give her this quote in particular because I know it will leave a very good impression in the minds of the kids. We all know the value of competition. America thrives on it. But few truly know the value of sincere cooperation, perhaps because when the work is done and the day is over, no single person can claim the credit.

Great comments, David. Yes, somehow so many people think being independent (competitive) is a virtue. But the real virtue is interdependence (cooperation) because it takes skill. The former is easy; any beast can be independent….
