  1. Dear Shawn,

I agree with you on quote # 11 – it’s how definitely attitude works!

“Ability is what you’re capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it. -Lou Holtz”

  2. You have a number of great quotes today. Thanks Shawn. The one that makes me laugh and causes me to want to put it to memory is, “Be pleasant every morning until ten o’clock. The rest of the day will take care of itself. -Col. William C. Hunter”

  3. This is an awesome page. The power of the mind is a tremendous thing. Good thoughts bring about good results. Here is a message I shared with an often despondent high school student: We don’t smile because we are happy. We are happy because we smile.

Have a great day and thanks for sharing.

    Ron

  5. DEAR SHAWN, I VERY MUCH AGREE WITH YOU ON THE QUOTE 29.IF WE WANT TO RELY ON OUR MOODS TO GET THINGS INTO ACTION THEN WE CAN NEVER GET ANYTHING ACCOMPLISHED.WE SHOULD NEVER FORGET THAT OPPORTUNITIES LOST CANNOT BE REDEEMED, WHEN WE LOSE IT, IT GETS TO SOMEONE ELSE, WE SHOULD THEREFORE RISE UP AND GET SOMETHING DOING AND ALSO DO AWAY WITH EXCUSES. I REALLY APPRECIATE THE ” THE ASPIRE HIGHER THOUGHT OF THE DAY” QUOTES YOU’VE BEEN SENDING ME. THEY GET ME GOING AN PUT ME ON TRACK. THANKS AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

    • You’re welcome, Maame. You’re right about getting put on track. We all need that and I find we stay on track longer if we write down the quotes we like; there’s something about actually writing them that seems to solidify them in our minds a bit more. Thanks for visiting; please keep on coming back!

  6. I just love #20. I am going to print it, so I may post it in my kitchen and on my bathroom mirror. #20 is the frame of mind I live my life day to day and by posting it will be a helpful tool in reenforcing my positive attitude. I also enjoyed 1,6,11,12,22,and 31, but 20 is my favorite by far. Thank you so much for sharing…
