My husband and I just made a movie called Special Needs. We have a daughter who is Autistic and Mentally Delayed. She is 23. She’s in the movie. There’s a lot of original music and also a really inspiring music clip that has been seen here on the big baseball field screens. Great video, Sharon. I appreciate what you’re doing; I work with 2 special needs brothers 2 or 3 times a week, so I can relate. 🙂
These beautiful children have chosen to be a part of amazing parents such as yourself. I have nursed many children and parents of small children who have had cancer, by doing the work that I did it taught me many lessons about life and how very precious it is. Every life is a gift it touches us in the most humbling way and reminds us how fragile life can be and what a blessing we receive by being part in all of this.
I watched all your videos and read the story, they are wonderful and most inspiring, it just shows what love can do.
I wrote a poem many years ago about special children. I hope you do not mind if I share it with you. Sending blessings and love and gentle hugs.
Taking Care of Special Children
All children are special,
exceptional in their own way.
There are bright ones,
Those that can’t hear,
Others can’t see
but want to be near.
There are those that stumble
and fall many times,
please give them a helping hand.
Others with great minds
are trapped in bodies unmoved,
help us to understand.
What motivates these children?
What makes them try so hard?
Each child is a unique gift
to know and to learn from,
all they need is a helping hand,
a tender touch and lots of love!
When you begin to teach
a special child new things,
a world of new experiences
will open up their dreams.
The smile on their faces
is worth everything.
Each step they take
helps us to grow.
We touch their hand,
they touch our hearts!
Together we will give
these special children;
the love they deserve,
So open your heart.

Hi Shawn, his story was told here in Australia on the morning news and we all heard him sing. He is amazing! He has been given such a beautiful gift, he has a voice of an Angel. I hope and pray that now that the world has seen and heard him, his dream will come true and he will enjoy all the happiness that he has so far missed out on. It is a heartbreaking story that brings tears to the eyes. I am sure it will touch many people’s heart as it has touched mine. I wish him every success. He deserves much happiness and love in his life, I hope his dream will come true. Thank you for sharing this video with us all.

You’re welcome, thanks for chiming in. I keep checking all the Canadian and American news channels but I don’t see anyone talking about him here yet. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time. I’m also sure this boy will now lead a much better life; I think he’ll be a national phenomenon in Korea and the happiness he missed will be re-paid to him many times over. Hopefully the pain from his youth can be canceled out.
