#5 – Procrastination is opportunity’s assissin.
That is SO powerful! Procrastination in it’s simplest form is not merely something that weighs on our minds, it (obviously) puts us behind.
But taken to a deeper level and under certain circumstances, procrastination ultimately kills opportunities we’ve been given. Procrastination can mean so much more than just putting something off.
Crystal! Where have you been? I’ve been wondering how you’re doing. I will email you later….
Hello Shawn, these are all great quotes, many inspire thoughts to consider.
Everyone procrastinates. We put things off because we don’t want to do them, or because we have too many other things on our plates. Putting things off—big or small—is part of being human.
Procrastination is not an untamable beast. It is a habit that has some specific origin, and it is a habit that you can overcome. This handout will help you begin to understand why you procrastinate and give you some strategies for turning things around. For most procrastinators, however, there are no quick fixes. You aren’t going to wake up tomorrow and never procrastinate again. But you might wake up tomorrow and do one or two simple things that will help you finish that task a little earlier or with less stress. A struggle in life that can be overcome.
I have some quotes I would like to share:
Procrastination is the fear of success. People procrastinate because they are afraid of the success that they know will result if they move ahead now. Because success is heavy, carries a responsibility with it, it is much easier to procrastinate and live on the “someday I’ll” philosophy.”
Denis Waitley
Time is an equal opportunity employer. Each human being has exactly the same number of hours and minutes every day. Rich people can’t buy more hours. Scientists can’t invent new minutes. And you can’t save time to spend it on another day. Even so, time is amazingly fair and forgiving. No matter how much time you’ve wasted in the past, you still have an entire tomorrow. ”
— Denis Waitley
“Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.”
Author Unknown
“In a moment of decision,
the best thing you can do is the right thing to do.
The worst thing you can do is nothing.”
Theodore Roosevelt
“The greatest amount of wasted time is the time not getting started.”
Dawson Trotman
Have a lovely weekend!
