Hello Shawn, I did enjoy reading your quotes, they all have inspiring words to consider that play a part in life. Thankyou for sharing. Everyone in this life has experienced sadness at some point, it is the support we receive from family and friends that help us to overcome our sadness and ease the pain we feel.

I did find some also I would like to share:

I walked a mile with Pleasure, she chattered all the way; but left me none the wiser, for all she had to say. I walked a mile with Sorrow, and never a word said she; but, oh, the things I learned from her when Sorrow walked with me!

The bitterest tears shed over graves are for
words left unsaid and deeds left undone.
    – Unknown

I cry for the time that you were almost mine,
I cry for the memories I’ve left behind,
I cry for the pain, the lost, the old the new,
I cry for the times I thought I had you
    – Unknown

Not all scars show, not all wounds heal
    Sometimes you can’t always see
    The pain someone feels

How sad it is! I shall grow old, and horrid, and dreadful. But this picture will remain always young. It will never be older than this particular day of June. . . . If it was only the other way! If it was I who were to be always young, and the picture that were to grow old! For this–for this–I would give everything! Yes, there is nothing in the whole world I would not give!
    – Oscar Wilde

We enjoy warmth because we have been cold. We appreciate light because we have been in darkness. By the same token, we can experience joy because we have known sadness.
    – David Weatherford

Take care and have a wonderful day!

    Hello Shawn,

There are no instant or easy answers when sadness touches our heart, even those who know us personally, still find it hard to find the words to comfort us. Sometimes we are not ready to be comforted, we need time to heal, to go through the sorrow and pain that touched our heart and soul. Time is indeed a great healer, so is love, family and friends do their utmost to help us on our journey back to happy times once again, but we have to allow them into our life once again and not shut them out thinking we don’t need anyone.

I did find some interesting quotes about how love can touch our heart and hope can bring a smile. I wish to share these with you.

“This is my wish for you: Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, Love to complete your life.” lynnie_buttercup

“Promise me you’ll always remember: You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. Christopher Robin to Pooh” barbp

“You can close your eyes to the things you do not want to see, but you cannot close your heart to the things you do not want to feel.” lstyd

The greatest healing therapy is friendship and love.
    — Hubert H. Humphrey

We need to give each other the space to grow, to be ourselves, to exercise our diversity. We need to give each other space so that we may both give and receive such beautiful things as ideas, openness, dignity, joy, healing, and inclusion.
