Shawn, I was out of town when you sent this set of quotes out so I missed seeing them. I often go back through my email to look for your postings and came across this one which I had missed. I am glad I took the time to do this.
The quote, “You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves. -John Henry Boetker” is an important quote for these times. Many of our students here at the college honestly have not been raised with this perspective, as logical as it might be. I have copied it and have put it on the public bulletin board to see if it can’t help stimulate discussions on the subject. Thanks
I know; that’s such a good quote and it makes so much sense, but millions of people don’t seem to understand it. Unfortunately, those who don’t understand it will probably go on not understanding it their whole lives. But maybe it’ll help young minds before they get messed up. 🙂
Love #18. I am an Ayn Rand fan.
Nice quotes. Like no. 18 most.
