8 Tips to be Happy

Life gets pretty hard sometimes. Often, it is hard to stay positive. There are so many things that you have to worry about. You need to make sure that you can pay the bills on time. You need to make sure that your kids are doing well in school. You need to make sure that you get everything done that you need to at work. You need to be nice to your boss. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. But, with so many problems, people still want to stay happy and positive. Here are 8 tips to keep you thinking how the grass is greener on your side.

1) Fake a smile

You know the old saying, “fake it ’til you make it”? Well, that is true here, sometimes, you just need to tell yourself to be happy in order to be happy. Smiling can help you do that. When people see you smile, they are going to treat you like you are a happy person―and you’ll begin to be a happier person.

2) Don’t insist on the best

Sometimes we aren’t happy because we aren’t able to achieve certain things. Goals are good to have, but when they begin to make you unhappy, it’s time to reevaluate your goals.

3) Exercise

Exercise releases endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people don’t stress too much about life. Exercise will make you happy, and you will look better and feel better.

4) Stop Nagging

Try to stop nagging others about your problems. Most people do care, but if you bring it up over and over again, chances are that they will find you annoying.

5) Avoid Critical Thinking

This often applies to women. Stop over thinking things. Chances are, a problem that you thought existed never even really did. You just made it up in your head. If you have a problem with a person, make sure that you are asking them about it. It may not even be a problem at all!

6) Help Others

Serving other people is a really good way to help you stay happy. You will be fulfilled because you helped other people. There is no better feeling than serving others.

7) Use Constructive Language

Even the way that you speak will change your attitude. Instead of complaining, try looking at the positive side of things. It will help you―and others―stay more positive.

8) Take Action

If you really feel in a rut when it comes to your happiness―do something about it! Take charge of your situation.

Staying happy is sometimes hard to do. But with these 8 tips, you can be happy and stay happy. Life may still be hard, but if you do it with a spring in your step and a twinkle in your eye, you can do anything!

    These are great happiness tips! The fake it until you make it by smiling is very true. Just smile and your brain starts to think you are happy. Can I add one? Check your posture! When you are sad, you tend to slump, when you correct your posture, you not only look and feel more confident, your body works better and will boost your energy into feeling happier.
