  1. We become what we do. If we do nothing, we become nothing. If we do something, we become something.

If you work hard you become dependable. If you pray hard, you become a prayer warier. If you give well, you become generous and if you love well you become kind. Destiny then is the sum of what you do.

Three frogs sat on a limb, two decided to jump off. How many remained?

No, not one, but three. Thinking you will do something is not the same thing as doing something. Consequently thinking you will be something doesn’t cause you to be something. Your destiny rests in what you do, not in what you would like to do.

    • Awesome words, David! Of course, that’s normal for you. I was wondering were you were. Did you ever see my previous replies to your comments?

May I share some thoughts on destiny?

Anything that exists, within the depths of the earth or the oceans, or the fall of a single leaf, all occur in compliance with destiny.

Destiny is an event that will inevitably happen in the future.

I believe that destiny is a sequence of opportunities (and, alas, challenges) that is given to every human being through the course of his or her life. What you do with those, which ones you grab, which ones you pass, what you endure and where you fail – is entirely up to you.

You should think of the opportunities and challenges that the destiny gives you like paths and barriers on an endless field. How you walk the field is up to you. You can take an easy path or cut a new way, you can halt at a barrier or jump over it (sometimes just bypass) – but they do not determine your journey, your choices do. So in effect – destiny is something you actually have absolute control of: these are your choices that shape it.

    Wishing you a wonderful day!
