    I like Shakespeare’s quote the best:

    Better three hours too soon, than one minute too late. -William Shakespeare

    I try to be early for everything, do my work ahead of schedule, be punctual etc. It reminds me of the character that Kevin Spacey plays in Pay it Forward (during the date scene). He describes that it is good manners to be on time in the sense that it shows you are respectful of & value another person’s time.
