Thoughts that evolved after reading these quotes. Every human being has at one point in time been deceived by someone they trusted. Through all the hurt and pain we became cautious, we don’t trust so easily, sometimes we find it difficult to trust again.

Trust is very important in any relationship be it family members, friends or lover. We are all different by nature so learning to trust again after someone betrays us may be difficult. They say time heals all wounds and there are lessons to be learned from our experiences. Like all things in life we need to be wise in what we hear and what we see, allowing trust to build.

The quotes that captured my thoughts were:

You must trust and believe in people or life becomes impossible. -Anton Chekhov

It takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it. -Unknown

    Thank you Shawn.

While trust and love go well together, trust is most assuredly not the best proof of love. Failure to trust is not and should never be equated as failure to Love. The proof of this is on display every day, as the sun shines, the flowers grow, and all the blessings that abound surround even the worst of us who deserve by means of good character none of it.

I’m with Laura on the 1st one she wrote. I’ve had trust issues as well with previous boyfriends/husband, but now I have found a man whom I completely trust, and I’ve never felt so in love, and loved in return.

One more note: A number of these quotes fit well into a lecture that I am soon to deliver on the power of faith. Thanks Shawn for the help. -D. Elton Trueblood’s quote is particularly well stated. “Faith is not belief without proof, but trust without reservation.”
